Invercargill Endurance Challenge
Invercargill Endurance Challenge is held around the Estuary Loop Walkway in Invercargill, Southland, New Zealand. The course is a clockwise 3.8 km loop that starts at the parking lot access to Bond Street.
The event offers multiple timed endurance challenges:
- 3‑Hour Challenge - open to all ages.
- 6‑Hour Challenge - open to all ages.
- 12‑Hour Challenge - open to participants aged 18 and above.
- 24‑Hour Challenge - open to participants aged 18 and above.
A marquee at the course provides water, bananas, lollies and chippies; soup is available for overnight runners. Participants may bring their own food and reusable cups and may set up their own aid station. Support crews are allowed only at the aid station. Pacers are not permitted.
Event services include first aid volunteers throughout the race and toilets on the track with additional portaloos near the marquee. The track remains open to the public and dogs are allowed under owner responsibility. Finishers receive a finishers medal; trophies are awarded to the male and female runners with the most loops in each time category. Runners who complete at least 100 miles, equivalent to 43 loops within 24 hours, receive a miler buckle.
