Interplanetary 5K Race & 1 Mile Fitness Walk
The event on April 18, 2026 in Peoria, IL is a family oriented run and walk with options for multiple ages. It includes a 5K race, a 1 Mile fitness walk and a kids 1/2 Mile fun run.

Packet pickup is at the Peoria Riverfront Museum and the start and finish are at the Gateway Building. The course is entirely flat and follows the Riverfront Trail from the Gateway Building toward Detweiller Marina. Packet pickup is available the day before and on event day. Packets include a one day pass to the Peoria Riverfront Museum, a mileage sticker, an optional T-shirt, coupons and other items.
Registration prices vary by entry type and date. Participants who choose a shirt pay a higher fee; declining a shirt reduces the entry cost. The kids entry includes a book. Refreshments are provided after the 5K and awards follow the kids run. Awards are given to overall male and female winners and to top male and female 5K runners in each age division; kids and fitness walkers receive certificates.
