The International Race for Research celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2026. This annual event takes place in Peabody, Massachusetts, and is recognized as the city's largest annual road race. The event provides a platform for runners and walkers to support progeria research through various participation options.
All participants have the choice of attending the event in person at Leather City Common or taking part virtually from any location. The in-person event offers awards and refreshments for those who participate on-site. The race proceeds regardless of weather conditions.
Available distances include:
- 5K Run (In-person or Virtual)
- 2-Mile Walk (In-person or Virtual)
Leashed dogs are permitted to join participants for the walk distance only at no additional charge. Registration fees are structured in tiers based on the date of entry, with fixed pricing available for youth participants aged 3 to 18. While the event includes shirts, specific sizes are not guaranteed for registrations received after mid-August. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
