Interlaken Icicle Dash
Interlaken Icicle Dash is a community trail running event held in Interlaken Park in Seattle. It is the seventh and final event in the 2026-27 Winter Trail Series and offers two distance options.
- 5k : two loops of 2.5 km each
- 10k : four loops of 2.5 km each
Interlaken Park is a 51-acre forested area between the Montlake and Capitol Hill neighborhoods. The course begins with an out-and-back on a wide, tree-canopied paved boulevard that is closed to motorized traffic through the park. The route then uses a short staircase onto dirt trails, includes a climb to the top of the park, and returns to the boulevard for the finish of each loop.
An aid station is located at the start/finish area and supplies water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and a selection of carbohydrate-rich or salty foods such as cookies, pieces of energy bar, gels, chews, chips, bagels, fig bars, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and bananas. 5k runners pass the aid station at 2.5 km; 10k runners pass it at 2.5 km, 5 km, and 7.5 km.
The event begins near the intersection of 21st Ave E and E Interlaken Blvd. Street parking is available adjacent to check-in and the start/finish point. Runners under 20 years of age are eligible for a $10 discount on online pre-registration or event-day prices. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
