Interlaken Ice Cream Dash
Interlaken Ice Cream Dash is a summer weeknight trail run held in Interlaken Park in Seattle. The looped course begins with an out-and-back on the paved Interlaken Boulevard closed to motor traffic, then climbs via a short staircase onto dirt trails that include steep pitches and a sustained climb before returning to the paved road. Each loop measures 2.5 km.
Distances:
- 5k - two loops of the 2.5 km course
- 10k - four loops of the 2.5 km course
The aid station is located at the start/finish and serves water, Skratch Labs electrolyte drink, and a selection of carbohydrate-rich or salty snacks such as cookies, energy bars, gels, chips, bagel, fig bars, and bananas. Street parking is available adjacent to check-in and the start/finish near the intersection of 21st Ave E and E Interlaken Blvd; weekday evening traffic can be heavy and extra time for travel is recommended.
The event is part of the Tuesday Night Trail to Grill Series presented by Oiselle. Post-race offerings include hot dogs, veggie dogs, watermelon, other snacks, ice cream, awards for top three Female and Open finishers in each distance, and a raffle. Dogs are not allowed on the course and trails remain open to other park users during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
