Intergalactic
Intergalactic is a trail event held at Hurn Forest, using Hospital Services Cricket Club as the event base. The route follows the main forest track as an out and back course and allows participants to select their own distance. All finishers of one lap or more receive a medal.
Laps are 5.3 km / 3.28 mile on a hardstanding, well maintained track. Trail shoes are recommended but not essential. An aid and drinks station is provided at the start and finish of each lap with a selection of savoury and sweet items. There is an area to leave personal kit and toilets are available at the cricket club. No plastic cups are provided.
Twenty percent of entry costs will be donated to Forestry England to support forest and trail maintenance. Number pick up takes place on the day at race registration prior to starting. The event is licensed by the TRA and will be run under UKA rules; as per those rules, distance restrictions apply to participants aged 20 or under.
