INDURO Hybrid Race - Muncie

This event is the sixth race in the INDURO Hybrid Race series, a distance-based hybrid competition combining running and strength stations.

The event takes place on March 1, 2026, at the Ball State University Indoor Track in Muncie, Indiana.

Race Format

Participants choose between two distances:

  • Short Distance: Nine 400-meter runs plus eight infield strength stations.
  • Long Distance: Nine 800-meter runs plus eight infield strength stations.

The event sequence alternates runs with specific infield stations: sled push, sled pull, ski erg, row erg, sandbag carry, sandbag lunge, burpee broad jumps, and farmers carry.

Event Details

Participants select a weight level at registration, which determines the load for each station. Levels range from Light (e.g., sled push at 155 lbs) to Heavy (e.g., sled push at 425 lbs).

Racers can compete as individuals or in teams of two. Teams must complete all segments together but can split the workload on the strength stations.

Waves for the competition are scheduled between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM. The morning block is for both distances, while the afternoon block is only for the Short Distance.

The event is professionally chip-timed, with results available live. It is a USAT-sanctioned race. All participants receive a race t-shirt, and all finishers get a medal. Awards are given to overall winners per gender, distance, weight category, and age group.

Race day packet pickup and registration begin at 6:00 AM. Parking is available on-site. Water is provided on the track, and post-race drinks and snacks are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
