Event Details

The Thanksgiving Day Turkey Run & Walk is an annual event held on Thanksgiving Day at Shadyside Lake in Anderson, Indiana. It takes place at the Activity Center in Shadyside Park, next to the Pickleball courts.

Courses

The event has two distinct options:

The Turkey Trot RUN for participants who run or run/walk.
The Turkey Trot WALK, which is for walking only.

Both events start at the same time. Walkers complete one lap around the lake, covering approximately 2.64 miles. Runners complete two laps for a total of approximately 5.28 miles.

Registration and Charity

Registration costs $5 and does not include a shirt. Participants can register online or on the day of the event.

All proceeds from the event go to Outfitters, an organization that provides new and gently used clothing to school-age children in need in Madison County.

Course Information

Participants must bring their own hydration and nutrition, as water and energy items are not provided on the course.
