Holiday Hot Cocoa Hustle 5K
The Holiday Hot Cocoa Hustle 5K is a community running event held at Reid Merrill Park in Eagle, Idaho. The event includes a chip timed 5K and a separate 1 Mile run, both open to all age groups. The 5K course runs along the Boise River Green Belt as an out-and-back route with a turnaround near mile 1.55. From a runner’s perspective the course is described as flat.
A portion of registration fees will benefit Girls on the Run Treasure Valley, and 100 percent of additional donations made through the event donation option are designated for that program. Podium awards are given to the top three finishers in each age category, with male and female awards presented separately. Age categories include 1-11, 12-15, 16-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60 plus.
Bib pickup is offered in the days prior at Fleet Feet locations in Meridian and Nampa, and on race day at the Reid Merrill Park pavilions. The event is stroller friendly; dogs are not permitted for insurance and sanctioning reasons. Financial assistance for registration is available through the race director upon request.
