About the race
India Point Five is a 4 x 800 m relay held at India Point Park in Providence, Rhode Island on September 25, 2026. The event is organized in partnership with Heartbreak Hill Running Company and Nike Running and is staged along a course that overlooks Narragansett Bay.
Teams consist of four runners. Teams must include at least one runner who identifies as a woman or nonbinary. Each team member completes two loops of a designated course in the park before passing the baton to the next teammate.
The event is organized into multiple pace-based waves and heats. The published pace groupings include Party Pace (10:00 minute mile and up), Steady Pace (8:00–10:00 minute mile), and Blazing Fast (7:59 and under), along with additional open, competitive, and elite heats that use specified pace bands. Heats are limited to ten teams each.
Registration opens August 19, 2026 and closes September 24, 2026. The registration fee is $20. All participants receive a limited edition race shirt, with sizes requested at checkout.
