Independence Day 5K Run and Walk : Alanson, Michigan

Emmet County Parks and Recreation organizes a community 5K run and walk at Camp Petosega in Alanson to benefit local parks and facilities. The event takes place on the camp cross country trail and is open to participants of all ages.

Parking and the meeting point are at the air hanger along the entrance drive to the right; the camp office is located farther along the drive. Participants are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue in celebration of Independence Day.

Pre event registration is $20.00 and on site registration on the day of the event is $30.00; payment can be made on site on the day of the event. Registration opens March 9, 2026 and closes July 10, 2026. T shirt distribution is offered to registered participants while supplies last.
