Bellmore Independence Day 4 Mile Run/Walk
The Bellmore Independence Day 4 Mile Run/Walk is a community road race in Bellmore, NY that includes a main 4 mile event and a 1 mile youth run open to runners 12 and under and walkers. Registration is not yet open.

Amenities include tank tops for the first 600 entrants and refreshments served before the race, at every mile and at the finish. Prize money is awarded in the 4 mile to the top three male and female overall finishers and to top three masters (ages 40 and over). Awards also include top three male and female masters, law enforcement divisions for open and masters, top three wheelchair finishers, and top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups. Team competition prizes are awarded to top three male and female open teams and masters teams with a minimum of three scoring runners. The 1 mile youth run awards the top three male and female finishers and medals for other finishers.
The certified course is described as flat and fast with nine turns. The start is on Pettit Avenue about 100 meters west of the Bellmore Firehouse opposite the LIRR, and the finish is on Grand Avenue. Parking is available in the railroad lot; parking on the race course is not permitted.
Bibs and T tops are available for pickup at the finish area on race day. A self lookup area is provided for those who do not know their bib number. Donations from the event are directed to Long Island Track and Field. Live results, free video, and same day finish line photos are provided.
