Bellmore Independence Day 4 Mile Run/Walk
The Bellmore Independence Day 4 Mile Run/Walk is an annual race held in Bellmore, NY. The event includes a certified, flat course through local streets with only nine turns. The START is on Pettit Ave 100 meters west of the Bellmore Firehouse, opposite the LIRR, and the FINISH is on Grand Ave. Participants are asked not to park on the race course and parking is available in the railroad lot.
Distances:
- 4 Mile race with prize money and age group awards
- 1 Mile Youth Run open to runners 12 and under with medals for other finishers
Amenities include T-TOPS for the first 600 entrants, refreshments before the race, at every mile, and at the finish, and live online and same-day finish line photos and video. The 1 Mile Youth Run is open to walkers as well as runners.
Awards for the 4 Mile include top 3 male and female overall and masters with prize money, top law enforcement open and masters, top wheelchair finishers, detailed age group awards from 13-18 through 90+, and team competition scoring by combined time for teams of at least three runners. No duplication of awards applies.
All donations from the event are directed to Long Island Track & Field. Bib pickup and T-TOPS are handled on race day at the finish area on Grand Ave with a self lookup option for bib numbers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
