In Step With Sam
In Step With Sam is a community remembrance event in Ann Arbor at 1320 Baldwin Ave that offers multiple ways to participate in person or virtually. Options include running or walking set distances, a kids fun run, a virtual 5K, and a nonrunning sideline supporter option.

The 5K follows a hilly course through the arboretum to a memorial tree located near the Huron River, marked by a plaque. The 1 mile course is a loop around Burn's Park and reflects the honoree's regular daily running routine. The kids event is a short loop intended for young participants.
The virtual 5K allows remote participation; T-shirts will be mailed in advance and virtual participants will be invited to join a shared video session shown on a large screen. Sideline supporters receive a T-shirt and can join other on-site activities, including a service project. On-site festivities listed by the organizers include food trucks and a bounce house.
