Ilam 3 Peaks
Ilam 3 Peaks is a fully marked fell race run on a roughly 4 mile loop (6.4 km) with about 520 m of ascent. The route includes a steep ascent up Bunster Hill, a river crossing and runnable sections linking three summits.
The event is based at Ilam Primary School, DE6 2AZ. Parking is available at the National Trust car park at Ilam Park (pay and display), a short walk from registration. Public toilets are available at Ilam Hall and there are limited toilets at registration. Tea, cakes and savoury snacks are available to purchase at the school after the race; cash is advised.
The race is licensed by the Fell Runners Association (FRA) and is governed by FRA rules. Competitors must be prepared to carry the mandatory FRA kit; this requirement may be adjusted depending on conditions. The use of GPS navigation or poles is not allowed and running with dogs is not allowed. Breach of event or FRA rules may lead to disqualification.
Additional event details include a minimum age of 18, a maximum field of 250 runners and published course records of 00:36:12 for the male record (2025) and 00:40:24 for the female record (2024).
