Holiday Winter Dash Beer Run
The Holiday Winter Dash Beer Run is a short, untimed fun run organized by the Illinois Brewery Running Series. The route covers approximately 0.5 km between Goose Island Taproom and Midwest Coast Brewing in West Town, Chicago. Half of participants start at Goose Island and half start at Midwest Coast; the course is open to the public and will be marked with arrows.
Registration includes one craft beverage at each brewery, a choice of a collector's pint glass or a series swag item, and access to on-site festivities such as live music, food trucks, and partner games. Participants must bring a valid ID; attendees must be 21 or older to receive alcohol, and underage registrants will receive a token for a nonalcoholic beverage.
The event is rain or shine and takes place on public roads and sidewalks, so participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws and being aware of their surroundings. Dogs and strollers are allowed with caution, and there will not be a bag check. A portion of event proceeds supports local nonprofits, with the organizer reporting more than $500,000 raised to date.
