IHR Poker Run
The IHR Poker Run is a community event held at Iroquois Park in Louisville. The course follows the rolling hills at the base of the park, starting and finishing near the Iroquois Amphitheater. Participants navigate a route surrounded by natural scenery while remaining separated from vehicle traffic.
The event features two distinct distances:
- 5K run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Entry for this event is based on donations rather than a fixed registration fee. Participants are asked to provide an unopened toy or a monetary contribution for Toys for Tots at the time of check-in. Packet pick-up and check-in take place on-site at the amphitheater area prior to the start of the races.
Following the run, the event includes a poker hand competition and various door prizes. Bottled water is provided at the finish line to ensure participants stay hydrated in the summer conditions. Parking is available within the designated amphitheater and playground lots at Iroquois Park, and organizers request that attendees avoid parking on the grass.
