If You're Not First You're Last : Eagle, Idaho
This event is a Last Man Standing style race held at 165 Eagle Island Parkway in Eagle, ID. Runners repeat a measured 4.167 mile loop; each loop must be completed within one hour and competitors must be in the starting corral when the bell signals the next loop or receive a DNF. The winner is the last runner able to complete one more loop than every other competitor. If no runner can complete one additional loop, there is no winner.
There is also a 3 Loop Challenge option. Overall fastest times determine the male and female winners for that category. Completing three loops in the challenge qualifies as one of the races needed for the Idaho Trail Series jacket. Running at least a 50K in the Last Man Standing will count as one of four required ITUS races.
Additional race details include packet pickup at the Idaho Running Company in Boise on Wednesday 9/9 and Thursday 9/10, guaranteed race schwag for those registered by Sept 1, same day registration, and a no refunds policy. Two crew members per runner are allowed at the start/finish. A minimal aid station at the start/finish will provide water, Tailwind, coffee, and broth. Personal aid on a loop and artificial aids are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
