5k Beer Run x Idle Hands Craft Ales
This event is a casual, untimed 5K fun run that starts and finishes at Idle Hands Craft Ales in Malden, Massachusetts. The mapped course is approximately five kilometers and runs on public roads and sidewalks in Malden center and the surrounding neighborhoods. The route will be marked with arrows.
Participation is open to walkers, joggers, and runners of all ages. The course is an open course on public streets, so participants are responsible for obeying traffic laws and staying aware of their surroundings. Dogs and strollers are allowed on the course with care and caution. There will not be a bag check; participants should plan accordingly and dress for the weather. The event takes place rain or shine.
Registration includes one craft beverage from Idle Hands Craft Ales for participants who are 21 or older, and underage registrants receive a token for a nonalcoholic drink. Registrants may choose a collector's pint glass or a Brewery Running Series swag item, and will have access to event festivities and giveaways. A portion of event proceeds supports local nonprofits; the series reports over $500,000 raised to date. Refunds are available up to seven days before the event.
