I Heart Biddeford 5K
The I Heart Biddeford event on October 31, 2026 takes place at Biddeford Primary School, 320 Hill Street, Biddeford, ME. The program includes a 5K run/walk and a short youth sprint.
- 5K
- Short youth sprint, about a half mile or shorter
The 5K course starts and ends in the Biddeford Primary School parking lot. The route follows Hill Street west, then West to Forest, Forest to Elm, Elm to Grayson, Grayson back to Hill, and returns to the school parking lot for the finish.
Registration opens April 1. Entries received by September 26 will receive a long-sleeve tech t-shirt; shirts are ordered in advance. Fee structure published by the organizer lists an early bird rate through August 29 of $25, a regular rate of $30, and a race day rate of $35. The youth Wild Things Spooky Sprint is free; participants in that sprint do not receive a t-shirt but will receive a treat.
The organizer notes the course uses open public sidewalks and road shoulders alongside active vehicular traffic. Sidewalk pinch points, curb transitions, and shared traffic lanes may present hazards for racing wheelchairs, handcycles, and participants with mobility impairments.
Proceeds support Heart of Biddeford, a Main Street organization focused on downtown vitality. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
