Hyde Park Harriers Summer Mile
The event is an evening of one mile road races on tarmac paths at Woodhouse Moor in Leeds. Races are run over 1 mile on a flat course that comprises two laps. The event is organised by Hyde Park Harriers and is chip timed by RaceBest.
Racing is open to club runners and non-affiliated runners. Entrants must be 16 years or over on the day of the race. Entry is limited to 450 places and the race is not suitable for wheelchairs. A race licence is held under number 30819.
Prizes include a reward for a new event record, trophies for the best miler in each club where there are sufficient club entries, a perpetual trophy for the winning club based on combined best male and female times, and graded gold, silver and bronze medals for all finishers.
Certain items are prohibited during racing, including MP3 players, headphones, music devices, head cams and other recording devices. Late entries are not accepted and there is no entry on the night. Facilities on site are limited: water and distance markers are provided, but there are no toilets, no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage.
