Event Overview
The HV Hawks St. Paddy's 5K Run for the Gold and Fun Run takes place in Washingtonville, New York. This event serves as a fundraiser for the Hudson Valley Hawks 12u Team to support their travel to the Cooperstown Dreams Park Experience. The activities are centered at Vern Allen Park, which serves as both the starting and finishing point for the participants.
The event features two distinct distances:
- 5K Run (Chip-timed)
- Kids Fun Run 100 yard dash (For ages 10 and under)
Running and walking options are available for the 5K course. Medals are provided for race winners, and all participants in the Kids Fun Run receive prizes. The event encourages festive attire in celebration of St. Patrick's Day.
Support and Activities
In addition to the races, a clothing donation truck is stationed on-site to collect gently used clothing and household items for the community. Registrations completed by March 4 include a race t-shirt. On the day of the event, registration and bib pick-up services are available at the park starting in the morning.
