The Hutton Roof Crags Fell Race takes place on 23 May 2026 at Hutton Roof Village Hall, near Kirkby Lonsdale, in the Lake District, England. The main race covers about 11 km (about 7 miles) with around 400 m of climb. The event is categorised as B Medium under Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules and has FRA permit and insurance. Teams of three are allowed. Entry is by pre-entry only; fees are listed for FRA members and non-members. The main race minimum age is 18. Course, rules and other details
The route takes in Hutton Roof Crags and Farleton Knott and requires navigation. Only the start and finish sections are marked; three mandatory checkpoints are used and appropriate checkpoint cut offs apply within a race time limit of 2 hours 15 minutes. Competitors must be self-sufficient and bring their own map and compass; GPS devices are prohibited. Scree on Farleton Knott is out of bounds for environmental reasons. Junior races are provided with FRA age categories and have on-day entry; juniors must be at least 6 years old on the day. Car parking is on the field adjacent to the Village Hall (donations requested). Refreshments and a village fair are held in the refurbished Village Hall.
