Hutt Half Marathon
The Hutt Half Marathon is a running and walking event in the Hutt Valley scheduled for Sunday 20 September 2026. The event uses a flat, scenic out and back course that follows both sides of the Hutt River and includes paved paths, stop banks, park footpaths, and a subway under the Waione Street pipe bridge. Medals are awarded to all finishers.

The half marathon course starts on Marine Parade about 200 m before the event centre, then follows the Hikoikoi footpath and the stop bank through the middle of Shandon golf course. The route passes Sladden Park, goes under the railway bridge, crosses Ewen bridge and continues along Port Road and the refurbished Tepua Horo Nuku pathway to the Days Bay turn point outside 603b Marine Parade. The return follows the same pathways back past the Waione Street pipe bridge, onto Marine Parade and along the stop bank to finish at McEwan Park.
The event is organised by Hutt Valley Harriers and is supported by Hutt City Council and local sponsors. Entry fees vary by event and by entry date, with listed prices ranging from $10 for the kids kilometre to $65–$80 for half marathon entries.
