Event Overview
The Huron River Run/Walk 5K and Relay is an annual event held in Huron, Ohio, during the Huron River Festival weekend.
Distances
The event features the following options:
- A 5K run/walk.
- A two-person relay (first leg 1.56 miles, second leg completes the 5K distance).
- A separate Kids' Fun Run.
Course and Location
The route goes through Huron's Old Plat and Oklahoma neighborhoods. The start and finish line is at the Huron River Pier, specifically at the corner of Main Street and Wall Street. There is one water station on the course, located at the 1.5-mile mark at Huron High School.
Additional Details
Participants can register in three relay team categories: all male, all female, and co-ed. The top two finishing teams in each relay category will receive awards. For the 5K, medals are awarded to the top three participants in each five-year age category, and plaques are given to the overall male and female finishers.
