Huntertown Heritage Days 5K - Huntertown, IN
The Huntertown Heritage Days 5K is the fifth running of this race and takes place on August 1, 2026 as part of the Huntertown Heritage Days Festival, a community festival established in 1999 that runs from July 30 to August 2. The race supports the festival and its community events.
The event is centered at Huntertown Elementary School, 15330 Lima Road, Huntertown, IN. The start and finish lines are located in front of the school. Registration is online only and closes on July 30; there is no race day registration. Participants registered before July 17 will receive a t-shirt.
Packet pick-up is scheduled on race morning at the west side of the elementary school near the Huntertown Fire Department and closes before the race begins. Parking is available at the school and a parking map is provided by the organizers.
The course is a flat loop around Huntertown that begins and ends at the elementary school. Runners proceed north on Lima Road for about one mile, turn left onto Shoaff Road for a little more than half a mile, then left onto Malcolm Road which becomes Hunter Road near the 2.25 mile mark. At approximately three miles the route returns to Lima Road with the finish approximately 200 meters ahead.
Results will be posted online and timing is provided by DRS Timing, LLC. Awards include first overall male and female, medals for the top three in each age group, and a $100 bonus to any winner who breaks the course record. Water and snacks are provided after the race.
