The Huntertown Heritage Days 5K is a 5K road race held in Huntertown, Indiana on Saturday, August 1, 2026. The event is part of the Huntertown Heritage Days Festival, which runs from July 30 to August 2, 2026. The race uses Huntertown Elementary School (15330 Lima Road, Huntertown, IN 46748) as the start and finish area. Registration is online only, opens March 1, 2026, and closes July 30, 2026. The entry fee is $25. There is no race day registration. Participants registered before July 17 will receive a t-shirt.
Course, logistics and awards
The course is described as a flat loop around Huntertown that begins and ends in front of the elementary school. The route runs north on Lima Road, turns left onto Shoaff Road, then left onto Malcolm Road which becomes Hunter Road, and returns to Lima Road with about 200 meters remaining to the finish. Packet pick-up is on race morning at the west side of Huntertown Elementary near the Huntertown Fire Department and closes at 7:45 AM. Parking is available at the elementary school. Timing is provided by a third-party company and results will be posted online. Awards include first overall male and female, medals for the top three in each age group, and a $100 bonus for a new course record. Age-group divisions are 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & older. Post-race water and snacks are provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
