Event Overview
The Hunger Run/Walk is a multisport event held in Niceville, Florida, hosted by Bluewater Fitness. The event focuses on community support, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting Niceville Sharing and Caring. Participants are encouraged to wear themed footwear for the "Sock It To Hunger" initiative. Attendees can access an after-party at the fitness center featuring music, food, beverages, and a bounce house for children.
Course Details
The event offers several distances to accommodate different ages and preferences:
- 10K: A scenic route featuring views of the bay and paths through local neighborhoods. It includes a sandy, non-paved turnaround point at the end of Maxwell Gunter. This distance has a 90-minute time limit.
- 5K: A fast out-and-back course that travels along White Point Road.
- Kids Fun Run: Designed for children ages 3 to 10. The run is divided into two heats based on age group.
Participant Information
Strollers are permitted on the 5K and 10K courses. Participants who register by the mid-March deadline are guaranteed an event t-shirt. The youth event includes goodie bags for all finishers and medals for top performers in each age category.
