The Humans of Steel: Harris Lake Sprint & Olympic Triathlon is a multisport event offering reverse-format triathlon and aquabike races. It takes place at Harris Lake County Park in New Hill, North Carolina.
Event Format
The event features a unique reverse format. Participants will start with a run, followed by a bike ride, and finish with an open water swim in Harris Lake. The available race formats are:
- Reverse Sprint Triathlon: 5k trail run, 12.5 mile road bike, 750m swim.
- Reverse Olympic Triathlon: 10k trail run, approximately 20 mile road bike, 1500m swim.
- Reverse Sprint Aquabike: 12.5 mile road bike, 750m swim.
- Reverse Olympic Aquabike: Approximately 20 mile road bike, 1500m swim.
- Reverse Olympic Triathlon Relay: Team event for the Olympic distance.
- Kids 50yd Dash: A short run for children.
The run portions take place on single track trails, and the bike courses go through Holly Springs. The event is USAT sanctioned. Awards are given for overall and age group placements.
Location and Atmosphere
