Wild Bill 5k
The Wild Bill 5k is an annual community running event held at the Seven Oaks Swim and Racquet Club in Raleigh, North Carolina. This event marks its fifth edition and is organized by Seven Oaks and the Stonehenge HOA. The race is held in honor of a long-time local swimming coach and mentor who was a daily runner in the Raleigh area.
Participants can choose from two distinct distances:
- 5 km (3.1 miles)
- Kids Race (approximately 0.5 miles) for participants aged 10 and under
The 5 km course is officially certified by USATF with course number NC21006BDS. The route winds through the local area, starting and ending near the club facilities on Howard Road. This event functions as a fundraiser to support local causes in memory of its namesake. Registration for the main race typically closes in late December of the preceding year, while registration for the youth event remains open until the morning of the race.
