Common Rush Trail Run
The Common Rush Trail Run takes place on July 18, 2026 at Harris Lake County Park in New Hill, NC. The event offers two distance options and uses the Hog Run field as the staging area.

The course for the 5 Mile is a one loop of approximately 5.5 miles and the 10 Mile is two loops totaling about 10.0 miles. Each course begins with about 0.5 miles of wide dirt road and continues through open meadows, wide double track, and forested single track with multiple lake views. The route is designed to allow passing and contains minimal root and rock filled sections. Elevation gain is listed as about 211 feet for the 5 Mile and 397 feet for the 10 Mile. Harris Lake County Park covers roughly 680 acres and forms a peninsula on Harris Lake. Park features mentioned include ponds, open fields, playgrounds, a disc golf course, and nearly 20 miles of forested hiking and biking trails.
Event operations include frequent aid stations approximately every 1 to 2 miles, medical support, chip timing, a race tee, post race food and beverages, a free kids Race for Treasure for children 11 and under, awards and age group prizes, and a limited field with entry capped at 300 runners.
