Event Format
The Hull Culture Run I is a six-hour timed challenge. Participants can run as far as they wish within the time limit. A runner's last lap can be started up until five hours, fifty-nine minutes, and fifty-nine seconds have passed.
Distances
Participants can run from 5k up to an ultra marathon. The course works on a lap system.
- The main lap is 4.37 miles.
- There is a separate 5k turn point, with a 10k being two laps of this shorter course.
- A half marathon requires three laps of the 4.37-mile course.
- Six laps of the main course are needed for a marathon.
- Seven or more laps constitute an ultra marathon distance.
The Course
The route is predominantly on a tarmac path along an old railway line, with a small section of trail. The course is an out-and-back design that requires no navigation.
Facilities
An aid table at the end of each lap provides water, squash, fizzy drinks, and various foods like sweets, biscuits, and grapes. Toilets are available at a local leisure facility.
