Huebner Elementary PTA Fiesta 5k and 1k Fun Run
The 11th Annual Huebner Elementary PTA Fiesta 5k and 1k Fun Run is a community-wide fundraiser held at Eisenhower Park in San Antonio. This family-friendly event supports Huebner Elementary, a North East Independent School District (NEISD) campus. Proceeds from the registration fees assist the PTA in funding various school initiatives, including safety improvements, annual student field trips, campus enhancements, and staff appreciation programs.
The event features several participation options:
- Fiesta 5k
- Fiesta 1k Fun Run
- Siesta (Sleep-in)
The 5k is a chip-timed race using a cross-country style gun-time start. The course consists of off-road, all-terrain paths and includes several hills. Because of the rugged nature of the terrain, participants utilizing strollers or bringing pets are advised to prepare for uneven ground. The 1k Fun Run offers a shorter alternative for participants. Those who cannot attend the physical event can choose the Siesta option to receive a commemorative shirt without participating in the run or walk.
Registrations completed by March 31 include early bird pricing and a guaranteed dri-fit t-shirt. Community members who are not students at Huebner Elementary can collect their event packets on designated days at the school or at Eisenhower Park on the morning of the event.
