Hudsonville Community Fair 5K
The Hudsonville Community Fair 5K is a first-ever 3.1 mile running event held at the Hudsonville Community Fairgrounds in Hudsonville, Michigan. The course starts and finishes at the fairgrounds and follows a loop through local neighborhoods, running on Green Ave, Lee St, Park Ave, Barker St, Madison Ave, Van Buren St, Elm Ave, Oak St, School Ave, Hillcrest Rd, Lawndale Ave and Hughes Dr before returning to the fairgrounds.
The event lists cash prizes for top finishers: $500 for first place male and female, $250 for second, and $100 for third. Age group awards are given to the top three finishers in each category; categories run from 14 and under up through 65 and older.
Every registered runner receives a custom T shirt, a finisher's medal, a personalized race bib, and professional chip timing. The event includes live DJ music and post race food and drinks. Free parking is available in the oversized lot west of Hughes Park. The event is listed as benefiting local educational foundations, with specific beneficiaries to be announced.
