HSV Sprint Triathlon
This event is sold out and there is no waiting list. It is organised by Tri-Force Triathlon Club and takes place at Hatfield Sports Village on the De Havilland Campus in Hatfield.
The course is described as fast and flat with potential for personal bests. The race format is a pool based sprint triathlon comprising swim, bike and run segments. Swimmers use an eight lane, 25 m pool and are set off singly or in pairs at 30 or 15 second intervals. The fastest swimmers are scheduled first to reduce overtaking in the pool and the exact start format is confirmed closer to the race date.
Race distances:
- 400 m pool swim in an eight lane 25 m pool
- 20 km bike on one lap of a pretty flat course
- 5 km flat run to finish
The event incorporates the Herts Club Sprint Triathlon Championships and is run under non draft legal rules. Course marking and on-course marshals are provided. Event features listed by the organiser include free event photos, a custom designed medal, finish line snacks and on-course support. Zone3 wetsuit hire is available.
