HSV Sprint Triathlon : Hatfield Sports Village
The HSV Sprint Triathlon is organised by Tri-Force Triathlon Club with event delivery by Active Training World. The race begins and ends at Hatfield Sports Village on the De Havilland Campus and includes pool swimming, a single-lap bike course and a run.
The race format comprises:
- 400m pool swim in an 8-lane, 25m pool
- 20 km bike on a one-lap, pretty flat course
- 5 km flat run
Swimmers are started singly or in pairs at 30 or 15 second intervals, with the fastest swimmers set off first to reduce overtaking in the pool. The event is non-draft legal and also incorporates the Herts Club Sprint Triathlon Championships, enabling club representation.
Additional event information includes on-course marshals and course signage, free event photos, a custom medal, and finish-line snacks. Zone3 wetsuit hire is offered for swimmers who need it. Entry categories listed are Sprint Distance Triathlon and Sprint Distance Aquabike, with age eligibility set at entrants aged 15 and over on the race date.
