HSV Sprint Triathlon
The HSV Sprint Triathlon is organised by Tri-Force Triathlon Club as a memorial event and takes place at Hatfield Sports Village, De Havilland Campus, Hatfield Business Park AL10 9EU. The race starts and finishes at the Hertfordshire Sports Village in Hatfield. The course is described as fast and flat with potential for personal bests.
The race format comprises these legs:
- 400 m pool swim in the 8 lane, 25 m pool
- 20 km bike on a single lap, on a mostly flat course
- 5 km flat run
Swimmers are set off singly or in pairs at 30 or 15 second intervals, with the fastest swimmers off first to reduce the need to overtake in the pool. The event is non draft legal. It also incorporates the Herts Club Sprint Triathlon Championships and includes club representation as part of the championships.
Additional event details include Zone3 wetsuit hire availability, on-course marshals, course marking, free event photos, a custom designed medal, and finish line snacks and goodies. Parking is available at the sports village with payment required at parking machines. The nearest train station is Hatfield Station.
