Event overview
The HSV Sprint Triathlon takes place at Hatfield Sports Village, De Havilland Campus, Hatfield Business Park, Mosquito Way, Hatfield AL10 9EU. The race includes pool swim, bike and run legs and incorporates the Herts Club Sprint Triathlon Championships. The event is non-draft legal and is open to entrants aged 15 and over on the event date. Race format and distances
Swim, bike and run distances for the sprint format are:
- 400m pool swim in an 8-lane, 25m pool
- 20K one-lap bike on a mostly flat course
- 5K flat run
Swimmers are started singly or in pairs at 15 or 30 second intervals, with faster swimmers started first to reduce overtaking in the pool. Wetsuit hire from Zone3 is offered.

Parking is available at the Herts Sports Village with payment required at machines. The nearest train station is Hatfield Station.
