HSRD Spring Alleycat Race
The HSRD Spring Alleycat Race is a team scavenger race organized by Hull Sunday Run Day, starting and finishing at Bobino Bagel, 61 Rue Laurier, Gatineau QC J8X 3V7. Teams of four receive a challenge sheet with clues to multiple locations where they complete tasks to earn tokens.
The first team to return to Bobino Bagel with all tokens wins. The total running distance will range between 7 km and 8 km depending on each team's chosen route. There is no time limit; teams may run, jog, or walk and take breaks as needed. Teams must be gender diverse with at least one male-identifying and one female-identifying participant. Individuals without a team will be matched on site.
Prize packs are awarded to the top three teams and a raffle follows for all participants. Each ticket, priced at $14.99, includes a race bib and an energy bar courtesy of XACT Nutrition. One hundred percent of ticket sales are donated to BASE Gatineau Food Bank, and BASE Gatineau will also accept non-perishable food donations on site. The event is bilingual, runs in all weather conditions, and notes that participation is at attendees' own risk; participants must follow traffic and safety rules.
