Event Overview
The HRCA St. Patrick's Day 5K is a 5K run and walk event on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. The start and finish line is located on Dorchester Street in the Highlands Ranch Town Center South.
Course Details
The course goes through neighborhoods, along the Marcy Gulch Trail, and past Fido's Field at Foothills Park before returning to Town Center South. It has a total ascent of 128 feet and a maximum elevation of 5,767 feet. One aid station with water is located at Foothills Park just before the two-mile mark. The course allows strollers and dogs, with a request for participants using them to start at the back.
Participant Perks & Awards
All participants receive a race t-shirt, a St. Patrick's Day 5K glass, a custom race bib, a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks, and a post-race beer from Living the Dream Brewing. Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each gender category (Male, Female, Non-Binary) and in various age groups.
Additional Information
A unique feature is a kettlebell hidden along the course; the first person to find it and return it to the finish line wins $100. Pre-race packet pickup is available on specified dates and times at Runners Roost Lone Tree and Living the Dream Brewing. Race-day packet pickup begins at 7:30 a.m. at the start line.
