Event overview
The HRCA Oktoberfest 5K takes place on September 26, 2026 in Littleton, Colorado (9352 Dorchester St, 80129). The event is a 5-kilometer run/walk with online registration open; there is no onsite registration. Current registration price is $40 and all registrations are final. Registration opens December 1, 2025.
Course and logistics
The course starts and finishes on Dorchester Street and passes through neighborhoods, the Foothills Trail, the Diamond K Trail, and Kistler Park before returning to Town Center South. The route has a total ascent of 144 ft and reaches a maximum elevation of 5,773 ft. One aid station at Kistler Park (around 1.5 miles) will provide water. Dogs and strollers are allowed; participants with dogs or strollers are asked to start toward the back. Free parking is available in the Highlands Ranch town center parking garage. Restrooms are located on the west side of the clock tower at Town Center next to Abloom Florist. Medical services will be located near the start/finish area.
Amenities and awards
All participants receive a race t-shirt, a custom giveaway, a custom race bib, a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks, and a post-race beer from Living the Dream Brewing. A hidden blue kettlebell on course carries a $100 prize for the person who finds it and returns it to the finish. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each overall gender category (Male, Female, Non-Binary) and in the listed age groups from 7 & Under through 70+.
