Event Overview
The HRCA Oktoberfest 5K is an annual 5 km run/walk held in the Town Center area of Littleton, Colorado. The event encourages participants to dress in costumes or lederhosen.
Course Details
The route starts and finishes on Dorchester Street. It travels through neighborhoods, along the Foothills Trail and Diamond K Trail, past Kistler Park, and back through neighborhoods to Town Center South. The course has a total ascent of 144 feet and a maximum elevation of 5,773 feet. One aid station providing water is located at Kistler Park, approximately 1.5 miles into the course.
Participant Information
The event is open to participants of all levels, including children, parents with strollers, and dogs. For safety, those with strollers or dogs are asked to start at the back. A blue kettlebell will be hidden along the course; the person who finds it and brings it to the finish wins $100.
Included with Registration
All participants receive a race t-shirt, a custom giveaway item, a custom race bib, a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks, and a post-race beer from Living the Dream Brewing.
Awards
Medals are awarded to the top three finishers in each gender category: Overall Male, Overall Female, and Overall Non-Binary. Age group awards are also given for Male and Female categories ranging from 7 & Under to 70+.
Logistics
Packet pickup is available on race morning beginning at 7:30 a.m. at the race start. Pre-race pickup details are to be determined. Free parking is available in the Highlands Ranch town center parking garage and surrounding areas. Restrooms are available near the start/finish area, and medical services are located near the start/finish line. The event proceeds rain or shine.
