HRCA Mother's Day 5K
The HRCA Mother's Day 5K is scheduled for May 9, 2026, with the start and finish at Cresthill Middle School, 9195 Cresthill Ln, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. The 5K route passes through neighborhoods, sidewalks, and community trails and has a total ascent of 102 ft and a maximum elevation of 5,855 ft.
The course is family and pet friendly; participants may push strollers and run with dogs, and are asked to start in the back for courtesy and safety. One aid station providing hydration is located at mile 1.5 near Cresthill Ln and the Vista Trail. Restrooms will be available in the parking lot near the start and finish. Medical services will be located near the start and finish area.
All participants receive a race t-shirt, a custom giveaway, a custom race bib, and a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each overall gender category: Male, Female, and Non-Binary. Age group awards are listed in standard brackets from 7 and under to 70 plus.
Race day packet pickup for timing bibs and race shirts begins at 7:30 a.m. on race morning. Parking at Cresthill Middle School is free. Registration remains open online until race day; there will be no onsite registration. Registrations are final and there are no refunds. The event proceeds in rain or shine. A kettlebell will be hidden on course and the first person to find it and return it to the finish line will receive a $100 prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
