Event overview
The HRCA Mother's Day 5K takes place on May 9, 2026 in Highlands Ranch, Colorado, with the start and finish at Cresthill Middle School (9195 Cresthill Ln, Highlands Ranch, CO 80126). Entry fees listed for the 5K are $40 for adults and $20 for ages 2–12; prices increase after March 26, 2026. There is no onsite registration; online registration remains open until race day. Course, logistics and awards
The 5K route runs through Highlands Ranch neighborhoods, sidewalks, and community trails, with a total ascent of 102 ft and a maximum elevation of 5,855 ft. One aid station providing hydration is located at mile 1.5 (approximately Cresthill Ln and the Vista Trail). Parking at Cresthill Middle School is free. Restrooms will be in the parking lot and medical services will be located near the start/finish area.
Strollers and dogs are allowed on the course; runners using strollers or running with dogs are asked to start in the back of their wave. Headphones are permitted but are discouraged for safety. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each overall gender category (Male, Female, Non-Binary), and standard age-group awards are listed for male and female divisions from 7 & Under through 70+. Participants receive a race t-shirt, custom giveaway, custom race bib, and a pancake breakfast from Flippin' Flapjacks. A hidden kettlebell on course carries a $100 prize for the first person to return it to the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
