About the race
The Polar Bear Run in Fergus and Elora takes place on Saturday, January 30, 2027, on local winter trails alongside the Grand River. The event offers three course options on snow covered and icy terrain, with trail features that can include packed snow, icy climbs, fast descents, and winding forest paths. The event is family friendly and runs as a trail format through the trails of Elora and Fergus. Parking is available at 35 Farley Road, Fergus (Grace Christian Fellowship). Registration includes a T-shirt, chip timing for official results, a finisher medal, post‑race coffee, tea, and hot chocolate, plus prizes and snacks. An award ceremony will present medals to participants and trophies for top overall performers.
The event is a fundraiser for Servant's Heart Ministry with a stated fundraising goal of CA$35,000; proceeds are intended to support the purchase of a food delivery truck to assist local food and clothing outreach.
