HOWL'ween 5K - Salem, NH
The HOWL'ween 5K is a Halloween morning running and walking event in Salem, New Hampshire on October 31, 2026. The event supports the Salem Animal Rescue League and raises funds for homeless animals. Costumes are encouraged as part of the community atmosphere.
The course distance is 5 km and entries are offered in several categories: adult (ages 13 and older), kids (age 12 and under), and a "four-legged friend" team that allows participants to run or walk with a dog. Youth participants must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Registered participants receive an official event t-shirt; adults who register with a dog receive a bandana for the dog.
Dogs must remain leashed and under the control of their handler at all times. Dogs are required to be current on vaccinations and to be comfortable around people and other dogs.
