Howloween Half Marathon
The Howloween event in Farmington, Utah offers two distances: a half marathon and a 5k. The event takes place Saturday, October 24 at Farmington Regional Park, 178 S. 650 W., Farmington, UT 84025. Packet pickup is available Thursday, October 22 at Salt Lake Running Company, Centerville location, 316 Marketplace Drive, Centerville, UT, and there is a race morning packet pickup that closes at 7:45 AM at Farmington Regional Park.
Entries include a race number bib, sponsor goodies, a finisher medal, and swag such as a T-shirt or fleece blanket. Timing chips are provided with the race bib and sensors will be placed at the start, turnaround points, and the finish line. Aid stations are located at the 5k turnaround and approximately every three miles, offering water, Gatorade Endurance Mix, and gels.
Post race activities include a pancake breakfast, music, awards, and a costume contest with a $250 cash prize for the best costume. Awards for the half marathon are given to the top three overall finishers and to top finishers in each age division; the 5k awards are for the top three overall.
