Event Overview

The Howloween 5K & 1-Mile Dog Walk is the 12th annual event supporting Home at Last Dog Rescue. It takes place on Saturday, October 31st, 2026, at Parkside Place Park in North Wales, PA.

Event Details

The 5K is a chip-timed race that starts and finishes near the park pavilion. The route goes through a neighborhood and onto the shoulders of local roads. All 5K participants receive a finisher medal. Prizes are awarded to top overall male and female runners, age group winners, and the top three dogs to cross the finish line.

The event includes a Fall Fair with food trucks, vendors, and over 50 raffle baskets. Other activities are a dog agility course, costume contests, and the sale of event merchandise and dog treats like "puppuccinos". Dogs are welcome at all activities, and participants are encouraged to wear costumes.

Registration and Pricing

Registration for the 5K opens on July 1, 2026. Registration for the 1-mile dog walk opens on August 1, 2026. Early bird pricing is available until September 30th. A t-shirt is guaranteed for 5K participants who register by a specified October deadline.

Beneficiary

All proceeds benefit Home at Last Dog Rescue, a 100% volunteer-run non-profit that rescues dogs from high-kill shelters and puppy mills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
