HOWLOWEEN 5K and 1-Mile Dog Walk
The event on October 31, 2026, takes place at Parkside Place Park in North Wales, Pennsylvania. It includes a timed 5K run or walk and a separate 1 mile dog walk. Proceeds benefit Home at Last Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) volunteer organization that places dogs in foster homes and uses adoption fees to cover rescue expenses.
The event features a Fall Fair with food trucks and vendors, more than 50 raffle baskets, costume contests, a dog agility course, merchandise for sale, and dog-friendly refreshments labeled as "puppuccinos." Dogs may attend activities; the event theme encourages costumes.
Registration pricing varies by date: early bird pricing through September 30, 2026; a standard registration window in October; and higher day of event pricing on October 31, 2026. A registration cutoff on October 11, 2026, is used to guarantee the anniversary t-shirt for participants; 5K participants receive a complimentary t-shirt when they meet the guarantee deadline and walkers may purchase a shirt for a fee. Packet pick-up is available on Friday, October 30, 2026. Chip timing is provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Company. Awards include a finisher medal for all 5K finishers, age group medals and prizes for top overall runners, plus awards for the top dogs across the finish line.
