HOWLOWEEN 5K & 1-MILE DOG WALK
The event takes place on October 31, 2026, at Parkside Place Park in North Wales, PA. It is the 12th annual Howloween and includes a community fall fair with food trucks and vendors, costume contests, a dog agility course, a Great Pumpkin Treat Hunt, dog "puppuccinos", and merchandise for sale.
Distances offered:
- 5K run and walk
- 1 mile dog walk
The 5K features chip timing provided by Bryn Mawr Racing Company, a finisher medal for all 5K participants, awards for overall top male and female finishers, age-group medals for several categories, and prizes for the top three dogs to cross the finish line. More than 50 raffle baskets will be available and raffle winners will be announced during the event.
Registration windows and fees vary by date. Standard registration information lists a fee for the 5K and for the dog walk; there are separate pricing windows with higher fees in October and on the day of the event. Participants who register by October 11 are guaranteed an anniversary event T-shirt; a limited number of shirts will be available at the event.
All proceeds benefit Home at Last Dog Rescue, a 501(c)(3) volunteer-run organization that places rescued dogs in foster homes and uses adoption fees to fund rescue operations and care. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
