The Howlin’ Trails 5K/10K at Wolf Creek takes place on June 5, 2026 in Fayetteville, WV. The event is organized by Active SWV Races and is held on the Wolf Creek Trails with the race start and finish located at Bridge Brew Works, 335 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville, WV 25840. Packet pick-up with bib numbers begins at 4:30 pm race day at Bridge Brew Works. The last day to register is June 2, 2026.

Format, awards, amenities and fundraising
The event uses a closed trail course with chip timing and a water station on the route. Race-day amenities include finish line photos, top finisher medals, a commemorative sport towel for participants, and post-race snacks. Participants ages 12 and under may join the 5K for free with a parent sign-up.
Individual awards are given to the top three males and females in each age division: 5-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65+. Team awards include recognition for spirit, largest team, and top fundraising team. Proceeds and individual/team fundraisers support Active SWV Kids Run Clubs.
