Event Overview
The Howlin' Trails event takes place on June 5th. The event offers two distances: a 5K race, which can be run or walked, and a 10K trail run. It is held on the Wolf Creek Trails in Fayetteville, West Virginia.
Course Details
The races start and finish at Bridge Brew Works, located at 335 Nick Rahall Greenway, Fayetteville. The course travels through the Wolf Creek Trails, described as scenic trails through rolling terrain and woodlands.
Registration Information
Participants can register online, with online registration closing on June 2nd. The entry fee is based on a tiered schedule, with prices increasing as the event date approaches. Race-day registration is available at a higher price. Participants aged 12 and under receive a discounted price for the 5K.
Packet pickup begins at 4:30 PM on race day at Bridge Brew Works.
Participant Information
All participants receive a commemorative t-shirt. The event uses chip timing, and there is a water station on the route. Post-race snacks and finish line photos are provided.
The trail course is closed for the event. Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers in each of five age divisions: 5-17, 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65+ years.
Additional Features
The event encourages workplace teams to participate and offers specific team awards, such as for the largest team or most enthusiastic team branding.
