Howick Trail Run at La Petite France, Howick
The Howick Trail Run is scheduled for 04 October 2026 at La Petite France just outside Howick in the Midlands. The event uses looped courses that pass through working farmland and open countryside.
Routes travel across Preston dairy farm and the Westphalia avocado farm, with views across Albert Falls Dam and the uMngeni Valley. Terrain includes flowing singletrack, rolling grasslands and wide open countryside. The route area is known for local wildlife and blue wildebeest are often spotted on the property.
Course details are provided for three distances. GPX route files and route maps are available for each course. There is no compulsory kit requirement listed and courses are subject to change. Aid stations are provided on the courses as indicated below.
- 18.9 km long course, 590 m elevation, 3 aid stations.
- 10 km medium course, 287 m elevation, 2 aid stations.
- 5 km short course, 142 m elevation, 1 aid station.
