Continental Divide Trail Run
The Continental Divide Trail Run takes place in Steamboat Springs, CO, on Saturday, August 29, 2026. The event begins and ends at the Steamboat Ski Area, located at 1855 Ski Time Square Drive. Registration opens on December 1, 2025. The course passes through aspen and pine forests and offers views of the Yampa Valley.

The 16 mile race has over 3,500 ft of elevation gain and reaches a high point of 10,420 ft. Most climbing for both the 16M and 50K occurs in the first 7.5 miles. Rough estimates for the 50K show about 5,500 ft of elevation gain, with much of the distance at or above 10,000 ft; the 50K route continues to Long Lake. The 5 miler climbs from the base to the Creekside Trail and back, gaining more than 1,000 ft within the first 2.5 miles. Maps and elevation profiles are available on the event website.
