Continental Divide Trail Run
The Continental Divide Trail Run is a trail race in Steamboat Springs that starts and finishes on the Torian Plum Lawn in front of Slopeside Grill. Proceeds from the race are donated to the Trail Maintenance Endowment Fund. The event is operated under a special use permit on the Routt National Forest.
Available distances:
- 50k with a 9-hour overall cutoff
- 16 mile with a 7-hour overall cutoff
- 5 mile with no aid stations
The 50k course is just over 29.5 miles, begins and ends near 7,000 ft elevation, and climbs to over 10,400 ft. The 16 mile course is just under 16 miles, also starting and finishing near 7,000 ft and climbing to over 10,350 ft. There is no vehicle access to the course.
Awards include top three male and female prizes, age-group awards for the 50k and 16 mile, finisher mugs for those distances, and a post-race meal available to registered participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
