Houtzdale Days 5K Run/Walk
The Houtzdale Days 5K Run/Walk in Houtzdale, PA is a community running event held on a course slightly longer than a standard 5K (about 3.3 miles). The event provides live online, text, and email results, free finish-line photos, and personalized bibs for those who register at least three weeks in advance. Race shirts are guaranteed for registrations received by July 17.
Awards are presented to the top male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 9 and under; 10-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65 and over. A male and female 5K Fireman's Challenge winner receives a plaque and designates a $250 donation to the emergency service of their choice, either fire or EMS. All proceeds go directly to the Houtzdale Fire Company.
Bibs are distributed by event staff and participants must know their bib number to pick up a bib; a self-lookup area is available for those who do not. Parking is allowed on most nearby streets except for marked sections of Eliza Street and Good Street shown on the event map. Registration is not yet open and a notification option is available for when registration opens. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
