About the race
Houtzdale Days 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held in Houtzdale, PA. Registration for the upcoming edition is not yet open; the event page references information from the previous edition held August 1, 2026. The published course is slightly longer than a standard 5K and measures about 3.3 miles.
Race amenities include guaranteed shirts for registrations received by July 17, live text and email results, free finish line photos, and personalized bibs for entrants who register three weeks in advance. Bib pickup is handled on site beginning one hour before the event start time; participants need to know their bib number or use the self lookup area if needed.
Awards are given to top male and female overall finishers and top three male and female finishers in age groups 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, and 65 plus. A separate male and female 5K Fireman’s Challenge winner receives a plaque and designates a $250 donation to the emergency service of their choice.
All proceeds from the event go directly to the Houtzdale Fire Company. Parking is allowed on local streets except for marked sections of Eliza Street and Good Street.
