Houston's 12K of Christmas
Houston's 12K of Christmas is a holiday themed running event held in Houston, Texas on December 19, 2026. The event takes place at Sam Houston Park, 1000 Bagby St., and marks the fourteenth edition of the event. It also concludes the Houston Holiday Series as event number 9.
The event program includes multiple distance options:
- 12K (in-person and virtual)
- 6K (in-person and virtual)
- 1K Kids & Family
- Virtual 6K
- Virtual 12K
There are dedicated guide categories for the 6K and 12K for guides to adaptive athletes. Guides are not eligible for awards. By default guides will not receive a bib, shirt, or medal, but those items can be added for a fee.
Published registration fees for the listed categories include $45 for the 12K, $35 for the 6K, and $15 for the Kids & Family 1K. Virtual 6K and virtual 12K fees mirror the in-person 6K and 12K fees. Guide registration is listed as free by default.
On the event day there will be seasonal elements such as hot cocoa, appearances by St. Nick and his elves, and Christmas carolers to create a holiday atmosphere along with the race activities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
