HOUSE RABBIT NETWORK 5000
The House Rabbit Network 5000 is a charity running event on October 3, 2026 in Boxboro, MA at Craft Food Hall. All race proceeds support the House Rabbit Network, a 501(c)(3) organization that rescues, fosters, rehabilitates, and educates about domestic rabbits in the greater Boston area.
Event distances include:
- 5K Run/Walk chip timed, live splits
- 1K Family Bunny Hop 12 and under, free entry
- Virtual 5K remote participation option
Online registration follows tiered pricing: early registration at $25 through July 31, with scheduled increases leading to a higher race day fee. Each 5K entry includes one free drink provided by a sponsor. Pre- and post-event festivities take place at Craft Food Halls. Early packet pickup is available the day before at Marathon Sports Westford. Ample parking is available in Craft Food Hall parking areas.
Dogs on leash and baby strollers are permitted but must start behind runners; on-site food venue allows dogs only in the patio seating area. All timed events use professional chip timing with live tracking, mile-by-mile splits, and instant email results. The 5K includes overall awards and age-group scoring (17 and under; 18-29; 30-39; 40-49; 50-59; 60-69; 70+). The event also features a team competition with a $5 discount or refund per team member when a team has six or more runners. Organizers request volunteers and sponsors to support event operations.
