About the race
The Hot Trot is a multi-distance running event in Dallas, Texas, held at Norbuck Park with courses that feature views along White Rock Lake. The event includes timed road races and an untimed fun run.

All three main courses are USATF certified. Race participants receive a finisher medal and a gender-specific tech tank top. On-course support provides hydration and cooling options, and finish-line amenities have included ice-cold towels and popsicles. An after-party follows the races with exhibitors, music, and food.
The Hot Trot is part of AMPT Running’s six-race series; completing all six events, in-person or virtual, qualified participants to receive an exclusive 2026 acrylic base for displaying that year’s medals. A virtual option is offered for the Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K; virtual packets for 2026 were shipped approximately 4 to 6 weeks after the event and were available to US continental addresses only.
