About the race
Hot to Trot is a timed loop ultrarun held at Boling Park in Canton, Georgia on July 26, 2026. The event offers two time-limited options: a *4-hour* and an *8-hour* event with a staggered start. Registration is subject to a no-refund, no-transfer policy. The course is an approximately one mile loop with a mix of grass, trail and hard packed dirt.
The route is generally flat with no significant elevation change. Runners may set up personal tents near the start/finish area. There will be one aid station at the start/finish. Supplies listed for the aid station include water, electrolyte drink, sodas, ice and typical ultrarunner snacks such as chips, cookies, candy and pickles; popsicles and watermelon are likely to appear.
No pain killers or other analgesic medications will be provided by the race. Participants must provide their own electrolyte pills. The race notes that high temperatures and humidity are common for this date in Georgia and that hyponatremia and dehydration are real risks. Runners are expected to manage hydration and electrolytes; the race director reserves the right to remove any participant who appears to be in danger.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
