Hot to Trot : July 26, 2026
Hot to Trot is a timed trail event held at Boling Park in Canton, Georgia, offering two duration options: a 4-hour event and an 8-hour event. Entry fees are listed as $45 for the 4-hour and $65 for the 8-hour, with higher pricing after specified dates; GUTS members receive a $5 discount. The event policy states there are no refunds, no transfers, and no deferrals.
Course and logistics
The course is an approximately 1 mile loop composed of grass, trail, and hard-packed dirt with no significant elevation change. One aid station at the start/finish will provide water, an electrolyte drink, sodas, ice, and common ultra snacks such as chips, cookies, candy, and pickles; popsicles and watermelon are likely to appear. The race will not provide pain relievers, and participants are required to bring their own electrolyte pills. Runners may set up personal tents around the start/finish. Organizers note that summer conditions are typically hot and humid, with temperatures often in the 90s, and that hyponatremia and dehydration are potential risks; race officials reserve the right to remove participants judged to be in danger. Awards are planned for the top three male and top three female finishers in each event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
