Hot Fun in the Summer Sun 5K/10K/Half Marathon
The Hot Fun in the Summer Sun race takes place in Kennesaw, Georgia. This mid-summer event features a course described as flat and fast, with chip timing provided for all participants. The race offers a variety of distances and participation options:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- Virtual 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon
Participants in the physical races will find self-serve water stations located approximately every 1.5 miles along the course. A minimum pace of 16 minutes per mile is required for all runners. Each athlete who finishes the race receives a custom finisher medal and a race shirt. For those choosing the virtual option, timing can be submitted online, and packages are shipped after the event date.
Awards are presented for the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as for Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters categories. Additionally, awards are given to the top three finishers in five-year age groups starting from ages 10 and under up to 75 and older. Participants also receive one free entry into one of the Five Star Thanksgiving Turkey Trots. Group registration is available, with discounts for teams of five or more people.
